Accidental Adulthood

NEW RELEASE

One Man's Experience with Dating and Other Friggin' Nonsense

Authored by Jeff Gephart

Mick's adult life is not turning out the way he'd hoped. His twenties are over, and instead of being the acclaimed novelist and family man he thought he'd be, Mick is stuck running a second-rate California motel and fumbling through an endless succession of hilarious dating misadventures. Most of his friends are married with children, and he feels they look down upon single people like him as being merely a fraction of a whole being.

During his version of the modern single man's search for what completes him, Mick must contend with a cast of quirky and memorable characters that both frustrate and sustain him as he navigates his way toward having to make a momentous career decision that will affect all of their lives.

Accidental Adulthood is a coming-of-age story for the Tinder generation. As Mick begins to face up to his own flaws and struggles to ascertain his place in the adult world, some universal truths are illuminated about family, ambition, responsibility, loyalty, and relationships.

 About the author:
A California transplant from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jeff Gephart is the author of two previous novels: The Second Life and Out of Dark Places. He has worked professionally as a graphic artist, elementary school teacher, and editor. With a background in performing arts, Jeff has spent time both in front of and behind the camera in a variety of independent film projects and a weekly cable TV show. When he's not writing, Jeff can be found hiking, traveling, playing sports, annoying his friends with too many movie quotes, and being grateful he's no longer internet dating.

Another Stone to Carry

In the small Midwestern town of Bear River, soft-spoken, shy, Kassandra Hayes lives a very sheltered life governed by the church and her goal to become a missionary. Things drastically change when she is sexually assaulted and her life begins spinning out of control.
To numb the pain she runs away and finds herself homeless in Chicago. For years, she embraces a life of exotic dancing, drugs, and sexual bartering until an unexpected encounter with an old friend lands her back home where she is brought back to the fold.
Her congregation embraces their prodigal daughter, and she acts and dresses the part, but her story is just beginning. Torn between desire and conventional morality, she goes on another journey of self-discovery and finds love in the most unexpected place, shocking the town and herself.

Misguided Sensitivity

Authored by Philip Nork

The journey we are on is a difficult one, even more so for those from a broken family.
Follow one boy as he searches for the two desires we all have in common: to be accepted by others, and to be truly happy.
Life continues through the good and the bad, and each and every person you meet along the way leaves pieces behind, like a jigsaw puzzle, for you to piece together as you grow and learn. And as you put those pieces together, you hopefully become a better person for it.
We are indeed all connected, and everything you do really does matter and will always affect someone else in one way or another.

 About the author:
Philip Nork was born in Chicago, Illinois and is the oldest of three children. His early years were devastating as he endured the divorce of his parents, the death of his beloved great-grandmother, and the resulting feelings of isolation and loneliness. While these events took their toll, they also shaped the man he grew up to be.
Phil had a different perspective than his friends and his experiences were totally unique. As his young male friends were busy playing baseball, defending their turf, and hitting on girls, his time was spent reading, listening to music, writing his feelings down in his journal and trying to understand the differences in people and to figure out how "we can all get along."
Philip Nork resides in Henderson,
Nevada with his family, where he mixes writing
with life.
